Creating charts for measures

Charts are created from Measures, so to create a Chart you first need to create a Measure. When creating the Measure you will select the chart type that will be used to plot the data for the Measure; there is a chart selection wizard that will help guide you to picking the most appropriate chart for the type of data you are collecting.

Once you have created a Measure, find it on your Measures page and click on it to open it. From here you can create a Chart:

1. Click on the 'Add a chart +' button.

2. Give the source a name.

3. You will be presented with the default datasheet column headings.

4. Click the 'Add Row' button, the first row of the datasheet will appear. You can either type or paste in data the first data point(s) to complete the first row in the datasheet.

If you have more than one row of data in a spreadsheet which is laid out with the same column/row structure, you can paste multiple rows directly into the left hand cell on the first row of the Life QI datasheet shown on screen.

5. Click 'Save' and your Chart will be created for you.
